The "Racketeer," by John Grisham; Predictions.

In the book the Racketeer, by John Grisham, the story currently takes place inside a low security prison. The protagonist was a lawyer, until he was found guilty of conspiracy. He lost his license to be a lawyer. Though he is innocent, him and two other ex-lawyers are serving a ten year sentence. It has already been five years since they arrived. The main character, Malcolm Bannister, has a son that will be sixteen when he gets out of prison. Malcolm is serving time for something he didn't do , and he can't see his little boy grow up. His wife divorced him and remarried, and Malcolm has nothing left. From what I have read so far I predict that evidence will come out proving Malcolm is innocent. The two ex-lawyers that he came to jail with never told the court that he was innocent, therefore he was found guilty. I think one of them will come forward and tell the court that Malcolm is innocent. What do you think is going to take place in the near future?

  2. I think he will be convicted as guilty and will then prove the judge wrong.

  3. Malcolm should be pretty angry he will probably hurt one of them. and i don't think the other lawyers would do anything for him even after 5 years. He has to do it himself.

  4. Michael I really liked how you used context clues based on what you have already read and used those to come up with your predictions, I have actually read this book and you will be in for a wonderful treat, it is very engaging and really leaves you hanging after every chapter.

  5. I think Malcolm will either escape from jail or get proven innocent and find his wife and son.
